COMMUNITY UPDATE
THIS ISN’T GOODBYE, CHET . . . IT’S SEE YOU SOON.
When Chet joined the Feast team as a founding partner, he committed to giving us a year to get the gym off the ground, set up our operations, and otherwise put us in the best possible position to succeed. It’s been a little more than a year since we started Feast out of the Fire Pitch, and Chet has done everything we asked of him and more.
As much as Chet loves this community, and we’d love for him to stay, he’s hearing the call of the mountains and the outdoor life he loves in the West. So it is with sadness for us, but real happiness for him, that we’re letting you know that Chet will be relocating to the Colorado area around the end of March.
The good news is that he’s agreed to remain available to us to consult on opportunities and challenges as they arise, and he’ll continue to organize and run community adventure trips in the West for the Feast community. So this isn’t "good bye" to Chet, but rather . . . "see you soon!”
To thank him for all he’s done as a founding partner of the team, we’ll be hosting a party for Chet at Feast in March. Watch our Insta and FB accounts, as well as the screen in the lobby, for details. And in the meantime, join us in congratulating Chet on this next adventure!

New Prepared Meal Partnership with River Valley Farmer’s Table!!!
For those meals you aren't cooking at home using BTBN's recipe book, we've come up with another way for you to eat high quality, unprocessed food. We’ve partnered with our friends at River Valley Farmer’s Table (just up the block from the gym, on Wilson) to create our own hyper-local, super-high quality version of a prepared meal service. (Think Kettlebell Kitchen, except in the neighborhood, and super-fresh.)
Here’s how it works:
Feast members can order one or more River Valley meals to be ready on Tuesday or Friday.
Feast will go up to River Valley sometime between 11 and 3 on the relevant day, pick up the food, bring it back to the gym, and put it in the fridge in the lobby.
Members swing by the gym and grab their food when convenient, which can be the next day when they come in to workout.
For instance, a member can order a beet salad with chicken, and some portobello chili, have one for dinner that night, and take the other to work for lunch the next day.
Members can also order additional protein as add ons, etc.
At our request, River Valley is providing calories/macros on their menu items!
To order, all you'll need to do is go to https://river-valley-farmers-table.square.site/. Select the items you'd like, and the site will prompt you to select a pickup date, then enter your payment info and that's it!
We’ll buy one meal from River Valley for one lucky member who places an order through the site in Feb or March! So give it a try!!
Feast Healthy Habit ("FHH") Update
For February, Feasters are continuing to adopt the “+ Vegetables” habit.
We have begun posting a “Challenge Of the Week” (“CHOW”) in SugarWOD to help you get the habit nailed down. We will discuss the CHOW before class on Mondays, and the CHOW will be in SugarWOD every day so you can post your results.
Need help implementing the habit? Want tips and tricks? Already have the habit nailed down, and want to go to the next level? Ask any coach, or schedule time during nutrition office hours through Zen!
And at the end of February, we’ll buy a meal delivery for two from River Valley Ranch for one lucky member who
posts a an Insta pic/story of their CHOW accomplishment and
tags Feast and a person they might share the meal with if they win.
So post your pics, tag us, and get ready to feast!!!

Rookie Rumble
Want a low stress way to try out a CrossFit competition? Then Get Ready to Rumble at the second annual Rookie Rumble at Bucktown Crossfit on Saturday, May 2! The event is designed for beginner and intermediate athletes only, and the emphasis of the day is FUN. Those synchro rowing studs you see in the gym? They're being coached by our friends at Ride Backwards Rowing, who are also hosting a great indoor rowing event: Fools Fest. Sign up for this cool opportunity to put to the test the C2 rower work we’re doing on Weakness Wednesdays. Here are the deets from Ride Backwards:
Fools Fest Sprints is back in 2020! Year three promises to be another stellar event. There is something for every skill set and rowing level, so join us for our signature 2K events, sprint races, partner & team relays, and free kid’s race. We believe that serious competition can be seriously fun, and this year we’re looking to expand the awesome. Following the races, the crown will be awarded to our 2K winners and we will fill our Fools Fest cups with delicious adult beverages, raffle-off some fun prizes, and enjoy the moment. It’s a party with ERG’s!
Enter as many events as you like for only $40. Every racer and relay team member must submit their own entry. Each adult entrant registered before March 16th will receive a premium FFS tee or tank of choice. Kids Race participants will receive their own prize. Register for a race package and receive extra FFS merch and BEER (if you're over 21). All are encouraged to come and have a pint or two with us. Voluntarily doing a 2K is an acquired taste, so you don't have to. We have options! Choose the events you want to do, or just hang out and watch. Everyone is welcome, racing or not, and we hope that you will bring your friends and family with you. Come for the races and stay for the party!
