March Madness 2024: Let’s Dance!

With the Open wrapping up, it's time to put away those Metcons and strap on your dancin' shoes. It's time for the Big Dance—March Madness. The NCAA Tournament is here and under the direction of Feast NCAA Bracket Commission Matt Keeler, the Feast Fam is getting after it.

Here’s how to participate, from the Commissioner:

  1. Fill Out Your Bracket: Click on this Greg’s Baby Got Brack link and create a bracket on ESPN. If it asks for a Password, it’s “OMGBecky”

  2. Pay Your $20: Pay $20 for each bracket you enter to Commissioner Keeler via Venmo to @Matthew-Keeler-4. To quote Keeler: “No, I don't want cash. No, I don't take Zelle, Cash App, Doge Coin or Rubles. Trying to keep this all streamlined and in one place to make it easy to manage. Cut me some slack.”

  3. Fill out this form after you pay so Keeler can keep track and silently judge the deadbeats. Note a couple changes from last year, per Keeler:

      1. Emails: “Make sure you're putting in the same email address as whatever you use to create your bracket. I lost many many years of my life trying to figure out who was who. Over and over and over.”

      2. Venmo: “Same deal, make sure you're giving me the correct Venmo handle. If I can't figure it out, I'm nixing you from the group.”

  4. Deadline: Midnight, Wednesday March 20th. No exceptions. Like, for real.

  5. Watch your Bracket get Busted: A bunch of members of the Feast Fam will be gathering at Easy Street, 2922 West Irving Park Road, starting at noon on Friday, March 22nd. You're going to be watching games anyway, so go ahead and take the day off work and come hang out and cheer for bracket busts. 

  6. Enter as Often as You’d Like, and Invite Others: Enter as often as you'd like and tell a lot of people. Like, a LOT of people. Money can't buy happiness, but it can make the NCAA tournament more fun. 

  7. Payouts: 

    • Winner: Winners win, baby. Winner gets it all, except the following consolation prizes. Total to be announced on Thursday March 21st once Keeler has cleared out the deadbeats.

    • Consolation Prizes: $20 for the Biggest Loser. You finish dead last, you get your money back. 

    • Bracket Name: You won't technically *win* anything, but man will people think you're cool. T-shirts will be made. High fives given. Legends made. 

Key Dates:

  • Brackets Live: The NCAA has released its brackets and the Tourney starts this week.  

  • Brackets Locked: You can make changes right up till tip-off of the first game on Thursday, March 21st. BUT...

  • Payment Due: All payments are due by Midnight, Wednesday March 20th. Keeler will clear out the deadbeats Thursday morning before tipoff.
