PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING THANKSGIVING WEEK HOURS:

  • WED, NOV 27:  NORMAL MORNING SCHEDULE, BUT LAST CLASS AT 4:30PM, AND GYM CLOSES AT 6:30PM.

  • THURS, NOV 28 (THANKSGIVING):  GYM CLOSED

  • FRI, NOV 29:  OPEN GYM 9-NOON.  WE WILL POST A THANKSGIVING THEMED WORKOUT

  • SAT, NOV 30:  NORMAL SATURDAY HOURS AND PROGRAMMING

  • SUN, DEC 1:  NORMAL OPEN GYM HOURS

COMMUNITY UPDATE


Welcome Coach PJ Mora!  We’ve got lots to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, including to have PJ Mora join our coaching team. We’ve known and respected PJ for years, and he embodies the attitude of service to the Feast community that is the bedrock of our culture.

Give the Gift of Health to Your Family + Friends! Our goal is to serve the lifelong health + happiness of our community, and we want to expand that mission to as many people as we can.  To that end, we’re giving Feast members “first month free” gifts to give as early holiday presents to family and friends.  Here’s the deal:

  • Feast members can give the gift of a free month to friends and family

  • Limited to the first 16 people who sign up

  • On Nov 15, we’ll open any un-gifted spots to the public.  

  • Free month starts Monday, Dec 2nd

    • 2-week Movement Roots at 6:30am (M,W,F) and 7:30pm (M,W,Th).

Committed Club. Congratulations to the following Feasters who achieved "committed club" status last month. This means they had reserved and attended 16+ classes in the month of September:

Spartan Race Team Feast. The Feast Team will be in the 9:45am Spartan Race heat at Wrigley Field. Sign up through this link and join Team Feast. We’ll see you there!

Member Feedback Wanted. You should receive an e-mail from us shortly with a member survey.  We built Feast for you, and we want to hear your feedback. Please respond to the survey, or give feedback directly to any coach. 

Bike Racks Installed. Thanks again for all your support with CDOT—the racks are in and getting tons of use.   

FITNESS UPDATE


The Open and FNL: A special shout out to everyone who participated in the Open this year, and who attended Friday Night Lights as a competitor, judge, or supporter. And a very special thanks to our "head to head" featured athletes: Britta, Lindsey, Katie/Nuf, Anna, Rob, Tommy, Huong and Lauren/Boosh-- you were amazing and inspired all of us with your willingness to throw down for the community!!! If you liked competing in the Open or cheering at FNL, why not keep the party going?! Come cheer on the Feast teams and athletes competing at the South Loop Game, November 23rd/24th at South Loop Strength and Conditioning. We'll post more info on the South Loop Games in our social feeds. 

Expanded Gym Hours + New Classes: We're happy to announce that we're adding to our class schedule to meet growing demand!

  • 7:30am CrossFit M,T,W,F

  • 9:30am "HIIT" M,W,F (strength and aerobic training, but without the barbells)

  • Weekday Open Gym Hours Expanded!

NUTRITION UPDATE


Feast Sticker Achievements:  In honor of college football season, we’re adopting our own version of helmet stickers for great team play!  These stickers go on your water bottle, and you earn them simply by proving to a coach that you’ve earned the sticker. 

  • Sticker achievement #1 is called “Opener,” and it is awarded to each member who competed in the CrossFit open this year.  So show a coach your standing on the leaderboard, collect your sticker, put it on your bottle, and flex!

  • Sticker achievement #2 is called “Committed,” and we’ll begin rewarding it in December to each member who achieves Committed Club status in 3 separate months.

  • Sticker achievement #3 is called “Habit Starter,” and is awarded to each member who meets with a nutrition coach to start Feast healthy habits.

Nutrition Coach Pairing: By now you should have received an email from your Nutrition Coach with next steps to get started on our group nutrition programming. If you have not, please e-mail admin@feast-fitness.com to let us know. 

Nutrition Coach Office Hours: Now that our consult room is done, Nutrition Coaches will be hosting regular office hours on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm-6:30pm and Friday's 9:30am-10:30am. To reserve a time to talk with a nutrition coach please sign up in Zen Planner or using the Zen Planner app (iOS/Android)!
