Feast Strong Week 9

Monday 5/18/20

I guess it’s Monday again? Who really knows at this point. Regardless we have a spice combo for our lower body. With both movements being demanding on the hips we will need to be sure we are moving with efficiency. Plan some breaks in the bigger sets of swings to give your body a quick lapse of tension. For our Squat Jumps we don’t need to jump to the roof—we are just looking for a few inches of air between your toes and the floor.

Tuesday 5/19/20

“Slippery Slope”

18 Minute AMRAP:
60 Plate Ground to Overhead
50 Russian Twists
40 Gobet Reverse Lunges
30 HR Push Ups
20 SDHP

Just like cocktail parties at Greg’s house . . . this one is gonna go downhill fast. We have a long time domain and A LOT of work to get done. With each movement targeting different muscle groups, it will be imperative that we make up time on movements we are strong at. For some movements we’ll just be in survival mode, and that’s OK. Plan to take breaks throughout this piece and keep in mind you will be moving for nearly 20 minutes.

Speaking of Foosball . . . I miss sports. But today’s conditioning piece is short and . . . not so sweet. We all love to hate the Devil’s Press, and at least there is only one DB or KB required today. Either way, taking advantage of the entire minute will be key. Set a rep goal to hit each minute and stick to it. It’ll be over before you know it

Todays running clock brings us two triplets, each with a similar feel, but ramping up in difficulty as we go. Attack this like you would Cindy: quick and controlled rounds with intentional transitions between movements. If you don’t, all the transitions in this one will quickly gobble up the clock.
